A St. Clair County woman was arrested on Friday on charges related to hit and run crash that left two people dead in late August of this year.
The woman, 37-year-old Jacalyn Reid, was arraigned on two charges– failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death and driving while license suspended/ revoked/denied– and is currently being held at the St. Clair County Jail on a $5,000 bond cash/surety.
The charges and arrest stem from August 30, when a 30-year-old Marysville man called police about 10:30 p.m. to report he had hit a someone riding their bike in the 3700 block of Dove Road in Port Huron Township. A woman living near the accident scene came aid the 56-year-old Fort Gratiot man who had been struck, only to be hit by another vehicle, with the second driver fleeing the scene.
Police currently are alleging that Reid was the second driver in the incident.
