Two people were injured during a two car collision yesterday afternoon in Lexington Township.
It was 3:55 p.m. on Monday, November 7, when Sanilac County Sheriff deputies received the report, dispatching to the scene with Croswell Fire and Croswell EMS.
Investigation thus far shows that a 65-year-old Applegate woman was driging north on Wixson Road in her 2004 Jeep Cherokee when, according to the press release, she failed to yield at the County Farm Road intersection. A passing 2018 Honda CRV was heading west when this occurred, the Jeep Cherokee colliding with the Honda. The CRV was being driven by a 72-year-old Croswell woman, who, along with her 81-year-old passenger, required medical attention for non-life threatening injuries sustained during the crash.
They were taken via Croswell EMS to Port Huron McLaren Hospital. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and all involved parties were wearing seatbelts at the time.
