Two-vehicle collision in Lexington Twp. injures one driver

An early morning crash on Wednesday in Lexington Township between two vehicles left one of the drivers injured and requiring medical transport.
On Wednesday, February 1, around 2:25 p.m., Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a two-vehicle crash near Old 51 and County Farm Road.
Deputies along with Croswell Fire and Croswell EMS were dispatched to the scene, with initial investigation finding that a 2014 Subaru, driven by a 39-year-old Port Huron woman, was northbound on Old 51 and attempting to turn left into a private drive when she was struck by the other vehicle.
That vehicle, a 2010 Dodge Charger, was driven by a 65-year-old Carsonville man who, also northbound on Old 51, had attempted to pass the Port Huron woman, but instead struck her as she was turning.
The Port Huron woman was not injured, but the Carsonville man was, requiring treatment on scene by Croswell EMS before being transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
