Port Austin woman wins $1 million on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin Show

A Huron County woman is planning a big celebration in her hometown after winning $1 million on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin show.
Aimee Krull of Port Austin won the big prize after spinning the prize wheel on the show hosted by Detroit basketball champion, John Salley. Krull was selected to participate in the show after entering codes from non-winning The Big Spin tickets online.
Krull says that she knew she was going to be on the show when she saw the Michigan Lottery on her phone’s caller ID, and that winning this prize “provides a sense of financial relief.” In addition to a big party in Port Austin, Krull says she plans to put her winnings towards a new car, completing home improvements and taking a well-earned vacation.
Krull was one of five players selected for the show in a random drawing. Each player selected spun The Big Spin wheel and had a chance to win up to $2 million, with all the players who spin the wheel are guaranteed to win at least $100,000. Entries are still being accepted into The Big Spin second chance drawing.
Players may enter non-winning The Big Spin tickets at www.MIBigSpin.com for a chance to appear on the televised game show. Five additional players will be selected to appear on the Lottery’s televised events. The final second chance drawing is scheduled to take place on March 1.
