Classes resumed Wednesday at Croswell-Lexington Community Schools, having been canceled on Tuesday while administration investigated a recent threat made on social media.
Though the threat did not mention the district directly and was found not to be credible, Superintendent Colette Moody did note in her Tuesday statement that there would be an increased police presence at the schools on February 22.
Parents and students were informed late Monday night by text and phone call that classes across all campuses were canceled for Tuesday, February 21.
Though currently unconfirmed by the administration, students and parents in the district say that a student issued the threat on Snapchat some time before 10:00 p.m. on Monday night. The post claimed that the student would hurt several students and staff members at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
