No one injured after woman drives car into popular Port Huron restaurant

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a Sunday morning accident that saw a 27-year-old woman arrested after careening into a popular Port Huron restaurant with her car.
While no one was in the building at the time, the owners of McCormick’s announced via their Facebook page yesterday morning that the Conner Street food spot would be closed for the time being due to the extensive damage, and that though they did not have more information about the accident itself, they “were told the driver is okay.”
It was around 2:20 a.m. on March 5 that the woman, driving southbound on 24th Street, ignored a flashing red light before driving into the restaurant. Police responded quickly, as several officers on a different call nearby saw the accident.
No injuries were reported, with the driver being alone in her car.
