Approving the Thumb Cellular rental agreement and a five year contract with Yeo & Yeo at Monday night’s meeting, the Sandusky City Council also approved the project bids for the upcoming water main projects in town.
Rick Kappel Excavating, LLC was awarded the bids for Worth Street and Jefferson Street for a combined total of a little over $170,000. In addition to county commissioner Gary Heberling giving a short report to the council, public comment was rounded out with a citizen inquiring after the status of sidewalk repairs this year.
Also at the March 20th meeting, City Manager Dave Faber announced that the Diamond Trail’s new picnic tables will arrive Tuesday, March 21, with the hope to install a few in time for the city’s Easter Egg Hunt on April 1st.
