$500-$700 worth of damage done by bathroom vandals at Marine City’s King Road Park

Police and Marine City Little League (MCLL) are looking for the vandals who wrecked bathrooms at King Road Park and Fields.
MCLL president Dan Van de Vyver took to Facebook Monday to share pictures of the vandalized bathrooms at the park. The bathrooms had been built by the Marine City Little League after “a lot of hard work and fundraising,” all of which was undone over the past weekend. Van de Vyver believes that the bathrooms were vandalized on Saturday night by more than one person.
The MCLL president described the damage as, “[t]oilet busted up, towel dispensers ripped off the wall, and toilet paper thrown around… a vape was left in a toilet, and ashes in a sink.” Police estimate that the vandalism will cost the league between $500 and $700 in repairs.
As a volunteer-based and nonprofit organization, the little league relies on community support via help and donations, with Algonac Little League sharing Van de Vyvers’ post and calling it “disheartening and devastating.”
If you have any information regarding the vandalism, please share with the Marine City Police Department at 810-765-4040.
