The Brown City Council voted unanimously to adopt a final project planning document for the city’s Drinking Water Works System Improvements project and designating an authorized project representative at their meeting on Tuesday, May 30.
The matter was voted on following a one minute public hearing for the 2024 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Project Plan, with the hearing so short due to no public participation.
In addition to approving the planning document, the council also reviewed the Bid Sheet for the city’s 2nd Street project, with a decision needed before the project could proceed. The council ultimately awarded the bid to Aztec Asphalt, whose winning bid was $421,329.77. They also reviewed the progress of the bond proposal associated with the street project.
The council also took time during the Tuesday meeting to recognize Brown City High School’s top graduate scholars, recognizing four students, including the valedictorian, Jacob Eager, and salutatorian, Claire Srodawa.
