As post with victim circulates online, Mussey Twp. woman stands mute at Thursday arraignment

Answers in the death of a 44-year-old Almont woman are still being sought as a Facebook post featuring her and the woman charged with her death has begun to circulate on social media.
Around 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 44-year-old Raquelle Casillas of Mussey Township posted a Facebook picture of herself and the victim, each sporting a black eye, with the caption “My best friend”. When asked what happened and why each woman was bruised, Casillas reported that she had stolen the Almont woman’s boyfriend. About 19 hours later, Casillas’ supposed best friend was found unconscious but still breathing, having suffered from severe head trauma.
Shortly before 4:00 am on Tuesday June 6, St. Clair County Sheriff deputies were called to a South Main Street home in the Village of Capac following a call from a 44-year-old man living at the residence. He reported an assault had occurred earlier in the evening and that one of the parties was not waking up.
Casillas was still at the home when deputies arrived, later being taken into custody that same day and deputies learning that the women had been reportedly arguing on and off for days over a shared relationship with the man.
The Almont woman was transported to McLaren Lapeer, later dying late Thursday morning.
Casillas was arraigned on a charge of open murder, standing mute at the June 8 hearing. She remains at St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center after being denied bond, with her next scheduled to be in court on Tuesday, June 20 for her probable cause conference.
She is also scheduled to appear at a June 27 case examination, and is being represented by attorney Maurice Davis.
