Following the Tuesday off for Independence Day, Sanilac County Commissioners will be back at the courthouse for their first July meeting on Wednesday, July 5, to discuss extending county administrator Nathan Roskey’s contract following his stellar annual performance review.
Roskey completed his first year of duties with a score of 4.74 out of 5, being rated highly effective by the board, who plan to approve a one year contract extension. Roskey, who previously served as St. Clair’s director of juvenile services, replaced Tara Griffith last May as she left the role for work in the private sector.
The board also plans to interview Donald Maury for a four year term with the Veterans Affair Committee.
They also will be authorizing an almost $5000 bid from Stringer Construction LLC to install a cement floor at Forester Park’s Maintenance Building, with project funding being provided by the county park millage.
