Celebrate Plaidurday with the Sanilac County Historical Society’s Sept. 23 event

If you’re a fan of plaid shirts and jackets, then get ready to celebrate Plaidurday on Saturday, September 23 with the Sanilac County Historical Society.
A holiday dedicated to the creation and fashion statement of plaid, the holiday is celebrated annually on the first Friday of October. The celebration, which will run from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. on September 23,  may be a bit early, but there will be no shortage of fun!
The event will feature: live music from The Greenlanders, craft beer, a cash bar, an on-site food truck, lawn games, chainsaw art, a Thumb history trivia contest and prizes for the best Plaidurday getup.
The event is free for members of the Sanilac County Historical Society and $5 for guests, with the eventbrite link on the museum’s Facebook page.  No matter the admission price, be prepared to pay a $5 fine if you show up without wearing plaid!
Guests must be 21 to attend.
