Two St. Clair County teenagers were arrested early Saturday morning after an argument turned to assault.
Around 3:40 a.m. on November 11, deputies with the Saint Clair County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to McLaren Port Huron hospital after reports were received that a 20-year-old Port Huron Township resident had been stabbed.
Investigation determined that a group of subjects were visiting the victim’s residence when a verbal argument began and then became physical. During the physical confrontation, the victim was stabbed one time in the chest with a knife.
After multiple interviews, two suspects were arrested. A 16-year-old male suspect is currently lodged in a juvenile detention facility on assault with intent to murder and tampering with evidence, while an accomplice, an 18-year-old man is lodged at the St. Clair County Jail on charges of tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice.
The victim is currently stable and expected to make a full recovery.
