sandusky-2-2-2

A group of Sandusky business people has launched a petition drive in an effort to show public support for changes to the current M-DOT M-46 street project.
The group is asking M-DOT to keep existing street parking and eliminate all bump-outs and bump-ins, which is part of the current plan. Currently slated to be eliminated is parking on M-46 in front of the courthouse, and existing parking east of the main light, which is parking between north Elk Street east to Stoutenberg Road.
The group is also asking M-DOT and the City of Sandusky to cancel plans to turn Lincoln Street into a one-way street.
There are two separate petitions to sign—one for business people, such as owners, managers, and employees of Sandusky businesses, while the other is for Sandusky residents. The petitions will be available for signing now through Monday, November 27 at L.K. Insurance, Tri County Equipment, Sandusky Concrete, Sanilac Florist, Elk Street Brewery, and Thumb Cellular.
