A St. Clair County man is $200,000 richer after a Michigan Lottery win in late December 2023.
Mark Scott, 47, of Wales Township, matched four white balls and the Powerball in the Dec. 30 drawing to win a $50,000 prize, which was multiplied to $200,000, thanks to the Power Play. He bought his winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.
Scott had bought a few tickets as the jackpot neared $1 billion, and was surprised to see an email a day after the drawing. That surprise turned to shock and joy as he checked his Lottery account and found he was a winner.
Scott visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. He plans to share his winnings with his kids.
