
The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to share that, thanks to department K-9 Belo, a missing person was found safe Monday afternoon.
K-9 Belo, who works with Tuscola County Sheriff’s Deputy Spencer Coleman, was dispatched around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, April 22, to help the Michigan State Police locate a 76-year-old missing person with health issues, after the 76-year-old wandered into the woods near his home on Deckerville Road in Novesta Township. The pair was able to locate the missing person in the woods, with the 76-year-old transported to a hospital by MMR.
Belo, who joined the sheriff’s office last September, is trained for drug detection and tracking.
