60-year-old Sandusky man injured after disregarding stop sign, colliding with other vehicle

Another vehicle crash occurred earlier last week, with a 60-year-old Sandusky man requiring medical treatment after the Tuesday incident.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a report shortly before 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 about a personal injury two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Gates and Eddy Roads in Custer Township. Deputies along with Sanilac EMS were dispatched to the scene.
The initial investigation revealed that a 60-year-old man from Sandusky was driving his 2010 Ford Ranger pick-up truck west on Eddy Rd when he disregarded the stop sign at the intersection with Gates Rd and collided with a southbound 2023 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 42 year-old Sandusky woman.
The man was transported by Sanilac EMS to McKenzie Hospital for treatment, with alcohol not believed to be a factor in the crash.
