NWS confirms EF-0 tornado touched down Friday in Huron County

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Huron County’s Huron Township last Friday.
A brief, weak tornado developed shortly before 4:00 p.m. on July 5, north of Kinde Road and along a line of trees. The storm then continued,  moving east and crossing Huron City Road before dissipating in a nearby field.
The storm’s path was only 0.3 miles long and 25 yards wide, with its peak speed estimated to be 75 mph. Damage was confined mainly to trees and nearby crops, with no injuries or fatalities reported.
