A moped driver is seriously injured after an accident this morning in Port Huron.
According to the Port Huron Police Department, shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, a vehicle struck a moped and its driver near the intersection of 10th Avenue and McPherson Street.
Despite police, fire and EMS crews arriving at the scene quickly, the incident was so severe, the Police Accident Investigators were asked to assist the investigation.
The moped’s driver was identified as a 27-year-old Port Huron resident, who was initially taken to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for treatment before transfer to McLaren Macomb for further treatment.
