Croswell City Council nearing end of construction, reopens applications for deputy clerk

Croswell City Council held their first meeting of October this past Monday, discussing construction plans and calling for applicants as the end of the year closes in.

Construction on Brown and Ward is nearing its end with pavement expected in the next few weeks, although there were some elevation concerns about the sidewalks–specifically on Brown Street. David Tait assured the council that he and the construction team will be working to review plans and ensure that adjustments are not required. Council members are also continuing their search to fill the deputy clerk position. The previous cut off expired with no applicants, and they have since set their new deadline for Monday, October 21, 2024. Potential applicants are encouraged to visit Croswell’s Indeed page for more information.

In addition, with Halloween a little over three weeks away, trick-or-treating hours were approved for 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024. There are donated costumes available at the Aitken Memorial Library for those interested.

The next city council meeting is scheduled for October 21, 2024, at 7:30 p.m.
