A 78-year-old man was injured during a Thursday morning accident in Tuscola County, after being ejected from his vehicle.
The 78-year-old Clio man was traveling eastbound on Birch Run Road, near Vassar Road, in Millington Township shortly before 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, when he failed to navigate the second “S” curve of Birch Run Road. The vehicle left the roadway, going airborne after colliding with a driveway embankment. As the vehicle overturned, the man was ejected, with the vehicle continuing to roll three more times before coming to rest on its wheels.
The driver, who was the vehicle’s lone occupant, was airlifted from the scene to Hurley Medical Center by Flightcare Helicopter for further care.
Millington Township Fire Department, MMR, Arbela Township Police, Millington Police Department and Vassar Police Department also assisted at the scene.
