In addition to finishing up business regarding the SAVE Partnership Millage, the Sanilac County Board of Commissioners will be honoring retiring Equalization Director Wendi Willing at their November 19th meeting.

Willing began her career with the county in 1994, starting her 30+ year career as a Juvenile Court Case Worker. By 2000, she was the deputy administrator for the county, serving as the interim administrator in 2001 and Human Resources/assistant administrator beginning in 2002. While she added the equalization director role to her roster of duties in 2010, it was a 2015 restructuring that made Willing solely the director.

With such a long career with the county, the commissioners will present Willing with a resolution that commends and recognizes her service to the community.

Tuesday’s meeting will also see the board finish up business related to the SAVE Partnership Millage; namely, the release of millage funds by the county to the Human Development Commission to fund Project Connect, and services for survivors of sexual violence.

The commissioners will also interview Rex Hazzard for a four-year term on the Sanilac Transportation Board during Tuesday’s meeting.
