The Aspire Rural Health System Foundation would like to thank both Thumb Cellular and the Sanilac County 4-H Horse Open Show Group for their generous donations towards the Covenant Cancer Center at Aspire Marlette. The Covenant Cancer Care Center at Aspire Marlette is a beautiful newly renovated facility serving cancer patients living in Michigan’s Thumb.

Thumb Cellular hosted a “Go Pink This October” campaign over the course of 1-2 days during the month of October. Each Thumb Cellular branch offered different ways to raise funds including games, prizes, food trucks, and pink hair extensions. The “Go Pink This October” campaign raised a total of $4,034 to be donated.

Additionally, the Covenant Cancer Care Center was presented with a donation from the Sanilac County 4-H Horse Open Show Group. The donation totaling $826.52 was presented to the Director of Oncology and Infusion Services, Michele McKenney, by representatives of the group.

Both the donations from Thumb Cellular and the Sanilac County 4-H Horse Open Show Group will be utilized to purchase a blanket warmer. This blanket warmer will be used to provide infusion patients with warmed blankets during their treatment.
