DETROIT (AP) – The Detroit Tigers have agreed to a one-year deal with infielder Andrew Romine for $900,000, avoiding arbitration. Romine hit .255 last season with two home runs and 15 RBIs in 109 games. The 30-year-old made starts at all four infield positions, including 22 at shortstop. The Tigers announced the deal with Romine on Thursday. He gets an additional $25,000 for 205 plate appearances. Romine is the second player to agree to a contract with Detroit after filing for arbitration this offseason. Reliever Justin Wilson did as well. Outfielder J.D. Martinez and shortstop Jose Iglesias remain unsigned after filing for arbitration.
