(AREA) — In an effort to keep our neighbors warm this winter, the Human Development Commission will host its 26th annual Walk For Warmth fundraiser on Saturday, February 20 at four locations in the Thumb. The annual event raises money to assist residents and families in need with their winter heating bills. Simultaneous walks will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Human Development Commission Adult Day Services Center in Sandusky, Brentwood Lanes in Caro, the Lapeer Historic Courthouse in downtown Lapeer, and at the Wilcox Park Community Center in Bad Axe. Registration at each location starts at 9 a.m. Groups and individuals interested in making a donation are encouraged to contact their local HDC office for information or a pledge sheet. The walk is Saturday, February 20.
