COLDWATER, Mich. (AP) – Plans are in the works to upgrade community tennis courts in the southern Michigan city of Coldwater. The Michigan Economic Development Corp., the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and the city of Coldwater on Monday announced a crowdfunding campaign for the project, which includes lighting, fencing and resurfacing at the courts. The courts are adjacent to the city’s aquatic and recreation center. If the campaign reaches its goal of $50,000 by March 15, the project will win a matching grant with funds made possible by MSHDA and MEDC’s Public Spaces Community Places program. The upgraded courts will be available for individual use, tennis clinics and lessons and school tennis programs.
