Sanilac Medical Control Authority offers FREE CPR and Basic First Aid Classes

(SANILAC COUNTY) — Free CPR and First Aid classes for Sanilac County residents, sponsored by the Sanilac Medical Control Authority, will be held on Saturday, February 20, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., at the Sanilac Medical Control Offices on the second floor of the Health Department building, Suite 239, 171 Dawson Street, Sandusky. The CPR class will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 noon and the First Aid Class from 1-4 p.m. Class size is limited, so pre-registration is required by calling 810-648-3092.
“We are offering these FREE classes again in 2016, due to their popularity in 2015. And, because there’s no better time than the present to learn what to do in a medical emergency, such as a fall, chest pain, burn, frostbite, nosebleed or a wide variety of other situations, we’re again offering CPR and First Aid classes on the same day!” reports John Cristini, Sanilac Medical Control Authority Director. “To learn more, come to the FREE CPR and First Aid Class Sanilac Medical Control is holding on February 20. The classes are funded with money provided by the Coordination of Medical Control/Emergency Services millage, so there’s no cost to attend,” explains Cristini. “Every class we do helps to make Sanilac County a safer place in which to live, work, and play!”
