Several retiring county workers will be honored for their years of service at next week’s Sanilac County Board of Commissioners’ meeting.

Shelley Minard, Deputy Otto Kutach and William Noelke will all be recognized at next Tuesday’s meeting. Minard will be honored for over 24 years of work with the county, with her time spent between the clerk’s office, equalization office and the construction and land use office.

Deputy Kutach, who began his career in law enforcement in 1990 in Texas, will be honored for his work with the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office since 2002. He has served in several capacities for the sheriff’s office, including uniform services, drug task force investigation, firearms instruction, field training and marine patrol.

Noelke, meanwhile, is being honored for his work with Sanilac Township, which has spanned almost four decades. Noelke is credited with being instrumental in forming the Sanilac Township Water Project, and has served in various capacities, from the zoning board to township supervisor.

Tuesday’s meeting will also see Sanilac County Commissioners pledging full faith and credit for the payment of the 2025 drain note between Sanilac and Tuscola counties.
