This week, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the convictions and sentences of John Digiacomo, 61, of Clio, who was accused of committing multiple sexual assaults on an underage girl in Tuscola, Genesee, and Saginaw Counties between 2014 and 2015, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
The Department of Attorney General prosecuted the cases against Digiacomo.
Digiacomo was convicted by jury trial in February 2023 and was sentenced to up to 48 years’ incarceration in Tuscola County for six counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct and several firearm offenses. Digiacomo was also sentenced in April 2024 to 10-20 years’ incarceration for two counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, to which he pled no contest that February in Genesee County.
A co-defendant was sentenced in 2022, in both Tuscola and Genesee counties, and is serving up to 15 years’ incarceration for the assaults.
