The Sanilac Broadcasting coverage of area teams in the MHSAA High School Girls Basketball playoffs ended on Tuesday night, as the Sandusky Wolves were defeated by the tough defense of Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest Crusaders 35 – 19, in the Division 3 Quarterfinal 12 game. Leading scorers for Sandusky in the loss – Grace Guibord with 9 points, and Brooke Wendling with six. Luthern Northwest was led by Paige Macavage shooting for 11 points, and Addie Troska with 10.
Sandusky ends the season with a 24-3 overall record as the Big Thumb Black Division league champions, along with a Division 3 District & Regional playoff championship. Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest moves onto the Division 3 State Semifinal game against Calumet on Thursday afternoon at Michigan State Univeristy’s Breslin Center. WBGV 92.5 FM will broadcast two MHSAA HS Girls State Championship games on Saturday, March 22nd.
