(LAPEER COUNTY) — Authorities continue to investigate the death of a Flint Water Department employee at his home in Lapeer County’s Otter Lake last month. The Lapeer County Medical Examiner says autopsy results showed 43-year old Matthew McFarland died from drug intoxication with high levels of mixed controlled substances with a contribution of his underlying heart disease. Authorities say McFarland was found at his residence on April 16 by a friend. Police say there were no signs of foul play.
