(LAPEER COUNTY) — The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $4.7 million in repairs and improvements to 11 bridge structures in Lapeer County. Beginning June 6, crews will start work on the bridge decks of Lake George Road, Lake Pleasant Road, and Morris Road. Motorists can expect the existing lane closures on I-69 under the structures to remain in place as work continues. Both Lake George Road and Lake Pleasant Road will have temporary signals maintaining one lane of alternating traffic. Morris Road will be closed and detoured using Newark, Clark, and Higley Roads. Additional lane closures can be expected later this year while crews continue work on other structures. Construction is expected to be wrapped up in September.
