Police: 1 dead, 3 wounded in shooting at NYC concert venue

NEW YORK (AP) – Police say one person has been killed and three others wounded in a shooting inside a concert venue in New York City, where hip-hop artist T.I. was scheduled to perform. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at Irving Plaza, near Manhattan’s Union Square. Police say a 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 33-year-old man was shot in the stomach. One of the men has died, police didn’t say which one. A 26-year-old woman was shot in the leg. Police said a fourth person walked into a hospital on their own. A concertgoer says T.I. was supposed to take the stage around 9 or 9:30 p.m., but never went on. Representatives for T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., say they’re referring all questions about the shooting to police.
