(LAPEER) — Over 500 individuals attended the 30th annual 4-H Celebrity and Spring Auctions in April, raising over $44,000 to support Lapeer County 4-H programming and the endowment. The auctions are the main financial supporter for the county’s 4-H programs. The celebrity auction, made possible by the almost 130 donors, featured a large variety of autographed memorabilia. The spring auction received donations from 390 county and 265 out-of-county businesses and featured gift certificates, gift baskets, and household items. Along with those who donated, a special thanks is given to the volunteers and 4-H members for the countless hours they put into each event.
