(LAPEER) — The suspect in the April 2nd robbery of the CMS gas station in Lapeer County’s Elba Township was arrested Tuesday night in Detroit. Tips lead state police troopers to a residence on the east side. During surveillance, 43-year old Cherron Wright of Mt. Morris, was spotted leaving the home and getting into a vehicle. Troopers surrounded the vehicle and took Wright into custody. He was arraigned Wednesday morning in Lapeer County District Court on charges of robbery, larceny from a person, and larceny from a building. His bond was set at $1 million. The Michigan State Police Lapeer Post was assisted by several law enforcement agencies during the lengthy investigation.
