(CARO) — Michigan State Police Troopers from the Caro Post will hold an informal gathering to discuss community issues and build relationships on Thursday, June 23. The “Coffee with a Cop” event will run from 8-10 a.m. at the Bad Axe Big Boy Restaurant. The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public, happen during emergencies or emotional situations. The informal gathering breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. Community Service Trooper Mark Swales says the post hopes that the public will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, and get to know the troopers better.
