(TUSCOLA COUNTY) — Deputies in Tuscola County responded to three separate motorcycle-related crashes over the weekend. According to Tuscola County Undersheriff Glen Skrent, a crash was reported Saturday morning around 10:57 a.m. on Frankenmuth Road near Sohn Road in Tuscola Township. A motorcyclist was heading south on Frankenmuth Road behind a car, which was traveling slowly. The motorcycle driver, a 64-year old Unionville man, attempted to pass the vehicle as it put on its turn signal and made a left hand turn. The motorcyclist tried to avoid the collision and swerved, losing control of the bike and crashing. The Unionville man suffered abrasions to his legs and arms and was transported by ambulance to a Saginaw Hospital. On Sunday, just after Noon, Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Fostoria and Millington Roads in Watertown Township for a motorcycle/car crash. Deputies report that a 66-year old North Branch woman had been traveling west on Millington Road when she stopped at the intersection and proceeded through. Her vehicle struck a southbound motorcycle driven by a 69-year old Fostoria man. He was transported to Lapeer Regional Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The man’s condition has not been released. Later Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., a motorcyclist was injured while jumping hills on private property in Juniata Township. Deputies say the 15-year old driver was transported to Caro Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
