(SANILAC COUNTY) — Two people were arrested during a drug raid last Friday evening at a lower level apartment on S. Morse Street in Sandusky. Sanilac County Drug Task Force Officers arrested a 39-year old Sandusky woman and a 35-year old Port Sanilac man at the scene for maintaining a drug house. Seized at the apartment was suspected heroin, controlled medications not prescribed to the suspects and drug paraphernalia. Additional drug related charges are expected following lab results. Authorities say the Sandusky woman was involved in a traffic stop on Tuesday in Fremont Township while out on bond. The deputy discovered suspected heroin and pills during a search of the vehicle. The Sandusky woman and a 28-year old Macomb County man, who was a passenger in the stopped vehicle, were arrested for the drug violations. Additional charges are pending based on statements and evidence gathered from both suspects.
