SONOMA, Calif. (AP) – Does NASCAR star Jeff Gordon have pole position to get the job as Kelly Ripa’s co-host on “Live.” Gordon says he’s open to taking over the job Michael Strahan had before he was promoted to “Good Morning America” – as long as he can continue with his new job as a NASCAR analyst. There’s been talk ABC is interested in having Gordon team up with Ripa. He says he’s “flattered” to be mentioned. But he says he also enjoys his work with Fox Sports and NASCAR – and if he could find a way to do both, he’d be interested. Gordon co-hosted with Ripa nine times when back when Regis Philbin co-hosted the show.
